Amenities 03 May 2009:
Separate fence enclosures for large over 20 Lbs and
small less than 20 Lbs with separate double entry/exit gates.

Large Dog enclosure is 4.2 acres / Small Dog enclosure is 1.1 acres totaling 5.3 acres all together. The dog park borders the eastbound traffic of Bay Area Blvd, northwest of Armand Bayou Nature Center. Onsite restrooms, pay phone, and park office are nearby, behind the children’s play area.

Each section has 1 doggie/human drinking fountain, multiple dog waste bag stations, trash receptacles, multiple benches scattered through each section, and 1 each 20 X 20 Canvas Cover Shaded Area, each with a pair of park benches. The overall Dog Park has crushed granite walking trails in each section with a few concrete tables/benches.

A pair of wash stations are located at the front of the Dog Park near the parking area,
to cool the dogs during hot weather and to rinse off dirt & debris.

DONATIONS:  If you wish to donate items to the Dog Park for all to use, such as agility equipment, benches, water fountains, please email Gilbert Smith; Superintendent of Parks Precinct 2.  A picture, description, and value is required for Harris County to consider accepting the item(s) for donation.  Contact information can be found at the bottom of this page

There is no pond or agility equipment within the Dog Park at this time. These and others amenities could be considered as possible future additions if you make your wishes known to Harris County Precinct 2 Parks Department; emails & phone numbers are listed at the bottom of this page.
